The desperate housewives TV show is one among the best TV shows and also has been premiered in the prime time for many years. The show focuses on the lives of several suburban women whom we see as cheerful and innocent people. But they have hidden secrets behind their doors. This show is said to be instigated from American beauty a 1999 movie.
One thing so unique about the desperate housewives show is that the humor of the show is very witty and dark and this is different from that of the other shows. The show revolves around the day to day life of four women who live in wisteria lane which is situated in the place called Fairview in the Eagle state; all of these places are imaginary.
The main characters of the four women are Susan Mayer caste by Teri Hatcher, Lynette Scavo caste by felicity Huffman, Bree van de Kamp caste by Marcia cross and Gabrielle solis caste by Eva Longoria parker. The story is taken as said by a long dead neighbor called Mary Alice young caste by Brenda string who comes on screen only occasionally that too for flashback and dream scenes.
Many people who haven\'t watched this TV show assume it to be something like Sex and the City because of the name and try to avoid it. However, many who have seen this show have changed their opinions and don\'t compare the two shows as there is a lot more to the Desperate Housewives series than Sex and the City. That is because the Desperate Housewives series has a satirical and dark side to it which Sex and the City doesn\'t.
The series had first been launched in the US on 3rd October 2004 and has reached through the public to a great extent that it has been running for nearly six seasons ever since. The sixth and the latest season is coming to an end on jan 31st of this year. Apart from their successful run the show is also known for its awards as it has won several prestigious awards of which the 3 golden globes are famous.
