John Donne - The Good Morrow

John Donne
anobdy may explain the poem death be not proud by John Donne?

If someone could explain the poem in a little more detail that would be really helpful are thanx!: D

I love that poem. He says that death is not as powerful or scary thing, rather, its a peaceful thing to be welcomed as a rest. Let's see if I can remember the whole thing Death Be not proud though some have called you mighty and dreadful for thou art not so. (He's the tart death, says "Death" that it would not be proud of the fact that people fear, because really, it is not so bad). For those you think you doth overthrow, die not, poor death, nor canst thou kill me .. (According to Christian belief, Death has no power over anyone .. God can raise the dead) From rest and sleep, but your photos are .. pleaseure much, much more than you need flow (He says that death is a sleep. We enjoy sleeping .. so how can the death so AWEFUL?) and ended our best men you go .. rest of their bones and souls delivery (He says that death only gives us peace and deliverance from evil and trials of this life.) Thou art slave to fate, chance, King, and desperate men. And doth with Poison, war and disease to live .. Poppies and charms can make us sleep .. and better than your stroke (death can not choose the victim .. People and sickness and accident determime who dies. Death has no power to choose) Why swellest thou. A short sleep past we wake eternally .. The death will be no more, Death thou shalt die (according to the Bible, death is an unconscious state and in the future point the dead will be brought back to life and to heaven (at least the good people). And in heaven there will be no more death)
