What better way to spend your day off or evening with a loved one than by watching a funny comedy movie. And if it happens to be animated, all the better to unleash the child in you! Shark Tale fits the bill perfectly. With voices by such pros as Will Smith, Jack Black, Renee Zellweger, Angelina Jolie, Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro, you can be sure the animated characters come alive.

Shark Tale (2004) is one such entertaining animated movie. The story of Shark Tale revolves around a small fish (voice by Will Smith) named Oscar. This small fish that performs the life-threatening job of tongue washer for whales is not only a bold but ambitious kind of fish. Oscar dreams big of receiving a pot of gold that will not only clear off his debts that he owes to his boss Sykes (Martin Scorsese) but will make his every possible leisured wish come true.

Angie (Renee Zellweger) who is Oscar\'s close friend resolves to solve his monetary issue by offering to hock her precious heirloom. By doing so, she intends to provide Oscar with the exact amount required to pay his debts. Oscar fixes an appointment with Skyes at the race-track. As Oscar reaches at the venue to deliver the money to Sykes at the racetrack he gets swayed away by the sights and actions of racetrack and takes up the unsafe challenge of betting on a racehorse. Lola (Angelina Jolie), a gorgeous lionfish, notices the challengingly, large bet placed by Oscar and tries coming close to him by flirting with him.

Sykes is furious to find the money has been blown when the horse stumbles almost on the brink of victory and loses the race. Oscar\'s future looks very gloomy as he prepares himself for the punishment that must follow. It\'s while waiting to be electrocuted by Sykes jelly fish cronies Ernie and Bernie that Oscar\'s faced by Lenny (Jack Black), a shark. Lenny and his brother Frankie (Michael Imperioli) have set out under their father Don Lino\'s orders (Robert De Niro). Frankie is to teach Lenny to be a mean killer and live up to the family\'s reputation.

On seeing Oscar and the jelly fish, Frankie asks Lenny to attack. Ernie and Bernie scoot and Lenny pretends to attack Oscar, ending up rescuing him. He\'s unable to hide the fact from Frankie, however, and enraged by his continued disobedience to kill, Frankie charges and is killed by an anchor. Terrified, Lenny flees, and Oscar is left with the dead whale which he sees as his ticket to fame and glory, giving himself the title of Sharkslayer.

Within a short span of time Oscar\'s dream of making it big one day comes true. He employers his former boss Sykes as his manager and begins to live a lavish life with his flirty girlfriend Lola. Situation takes a vicious turn when Don Lino sends out his sharks to find Lenny and Oscar as he thinks they were the ones who were responsible for the unexpected death of Frankie. While all this ups and downs going on in Oscar\'s life, Lenny returns to ask for shelter and coverage from Oscar. Angie comes to know about the truth of the incident and bashes Oscar for it. Oscar strives to survive through all these tough and problematic situations.
