When you have a note in treble clef, how do you write the exact same note in bass clef?
like if you had the low ledger note A in treble clef, how would you write the exact same note in bass clef? do you have to move the note a certain amount of spaces or lines?
Well that exact note would be the top line of bass clef.
The simplest way of looking at it is:
* If you just want to count and get the exact same note, count up 12 lines and spaces from where you were, write the note there then change the treble clef to a bass clef. *
But of course this would mean you get a lot of ledger lines a lot of the time (that's why we have more than one clef!) But if the note's in the normal range, this will work.
It's good to remember that the treble clef is a "G clef" - the line it curls around is the line for the note G, and the bass clef is an "F clef" - it goes around the line for the note F. The F is an octave and one note lower than the G. Maybe this will help to find the way around?
